Trivia: In July 2006, the film was set for a release date of 2 May 2008, and Roger Michell was in negotiations to direct. He decided to turn down the job as he felt that that set production schedule of 18 months was not adequate for him (“I was very nervous that there was a start date but really no script at all. “And I like to be very well prepared as a director.”). The release date was consequently pushed to November 2008.
Goofs: Continuity: Bond gets Elvis’ mobile number and the company name Greene Planet by tricking him with a Universal Exports business card -
